If you love Pineapple Tarts and can eat them in dozens within an hour, I would suggest that you make them yourself. Pineapple Tarts are not cheap these days. I think easily you have to pay 70 cents for a piece if it.

The making of the filling is very simple.
Btw, I have only recipe for 30 pineapples. You do the division if you want to make in smaller scale.
All you need 2kg Fine Sugar, 1.2kg of Rock Sugar for 30 Pineapples and Kayu Manis (Cinnamon stick) plus Bunga Lawang (Star Anise) for the aroma. Cook them in the wok for about an hour until it turns golden like the above shown.

Those days, we use to grate the pineapple with our bare hand and boy do we suffer after that by thousand of cuts.
Now, we just send them to those who has the machine to grate it. For a few ringgits we save our beautiful soft hands. ![]()

30 Pineapples?? Last weekend we made the fillings too, same like your recipe, but only do 5 pineapples. :D. MIL said hor…chop the pineapple the tart will taste better instead of grate them…only making the tart another week….making and storing the inti first.
