40 Days Banana is a direct translation from Pisang 40 Hari. Some calls it Pisang Masak 40 Hari. It is called Pisang 40 Hari or Pisang Masak 40 hari because it takes 40 days for the banana to turn yellow (ripe).
I don’t think you can find this type of banana selling at any fruit stall. They are not commercialized. They are smaller than Pisang Emas. Their skin are hard to peel. The inside (the white strips) always got stuck to the flesh but it taste nice, very sweet and smooth.
